Ben Smith

Lead Creative Director

When you combine a multitude of creative experience with exceptional functional design expertise—and add a dash of ninja—you get Ben. Working with some of the biggest media companies in Knoxville, including Fiveman Productions and Jupiter Entertainment, Ben has had experience in everything from print, to web, to TV, and movies (even credited on IMDB). Some of his most notable creative experiences come from his work on the TV series Snapped (Oxygen) and How Stuff Works (Discovery Channel). He's also a published cartoonist.

Ben's B.F.A. in Graphic Design and minor in Cinema Studies—combined with his zest for technology, innovation and Web development—makes him the perfect fit for Lead Creative Director of The Website Guys.

Wes Alvaro

Director of Web Development

Wes is, to say the least, the technical/code-y website guy. He has several big names under his software engineering belt including Google, Intel, Microsoft Research, the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and the Innovative Computing Laboratory (the people that bring super computers to life). He has created many stand-alone web applications and has piles of experience in Python, PHP, SQL, JavaScript as well as many libraries and frameworks. He's also no stranger to building websites in content management systems like Joomla, Concrete5, and Wordpress.

Wes has his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science and is currently working at the front of technology in the Silicon Valley. Needless to say, that's why we picked him to serve as Director of Web Development for The Website Guys.

Josh Gibbs

Director of Business Development, CEO

Josh's unique skill-set of graphic design, marketing strategy and understanding of informational heuristics has allowed him to drive successful marketing campaigns and develop creative pieces for companies like Skype, Cisco Systems, VMware, Hewlett-Packard, and Other account experience includes NASCAR, The City of New Orleans, and Heavy Duty Entertainment (production company for Dodgeball and Waiting).

Josh earned a B.S. in Advertising with a focus on Web usability from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. In addition to serving as the CEO of The Website Guys, he also holds the position of Web Marketing Director for SharedVue Marketing Technologies.
